PrintingPress Pro Extreme allows you to bend text in a text box into fifteen shapes illustrated below. You can use the controls in the Paragraph palette to adjust the shape of your text box, or you can double-click on the edge of the text box and change the settings.

When you select a new shape from the menu, it sets the default values for the shape. The shapes also default to justified alignment, which works best for most shapes. You can change the text alignment for different results. Below are examples of the same text in each text shape:

Line
Normal text without any curve

Vertical Line
Text is drawn in a vertical line. This example uses five lines of text and is left aligned. If it were justified, all the lines would be of equal length. Because the text is rotated, left alignment actually aligns everything to the top.

Bend Up
Text is drawn in an upward arc

Bend Down
Text is drawn in a downward arc.

Wave
Text is drawn in a wave with the curve bending first up, then down.

Inverted Wave
Text is drawn in a wave with the curve bending first down, then up.

Double Bend
Text is drawn in both an upward and downward arc. If there is an odd number of lines of text, the middle line is drawn in a straight line between the two arcs. This example uses two lines of text.

Circle
Text is drawn around a circle.

Semicircle
Text is drawn in a semicircle. The first line is on the outside of the semicircle and the next line is inside the first. This example uses two lines of text.

Inverted Semicircle
Text is drawn in an inverted semicircle. The first line of text is on the outside of the semicircle and the next line is inside the first. This example uses two lines of text.

Double Semicircle
Text is drawn in both a semicircle and inverted semicircle. The first line of text is in the top semicircle and the next line is in the bottom semicircle. This example uses two lines of text.

Quarter Circle
Text is drawn in the upper-left quarter of a circle so that the text is bending up and to the right. The first line of text draws outside the quarter circle and the next line is drawn inside the quarter circle. This example uses two lines of text.

Inverted Quarter Circle
Text is drawn in the lower-right quarter of a circle so that the text is bending up and to the right. The first line of text draws outside the quarter circle and the next line is drawn inside the quarter circle. This example uses two lines of text.

Spiral
Text is drawn in a clockwise spiral. This example uses one line of text. The alignment was set to left and the text was resized smaller to increase the revolutions of the spiral.

Reverse Spiral
Text is drawn in a counter-clockwise spiral. This example uses one line of text. The alignment was set to left and the text was resized smaller to increase the revolutions of the spiral.

Random Jitter
Text is drawn with random vertical placement of the letters. This example uses one line of text.
