You can use one of our built-in patterns to fill text, borders, monograms and backgrounds. The drop down color and pattern menu offers all the choices of the Color menu as well as additional options for choosing and creating patterns.

You can create an unlimited array of custom patterns to fill backgrounds, borders, monograms, and text. In the example below from the June 2009 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly, we used the custom pattern tool to create a gingham pattern to fill the background of the card.

To create a custom pattern, select Create / Edit pattern in the color and pattern menu. The Create Pattern window appears to let you design the pattern.

Once you have created a pattern, you can select Choose / Adjust pattern to adjust the scale of the pattern, rotate the pattern or recolor the pattern. Create the pattern, click OK to apply the pattern, then select Choose / Adjust pattern from the Color menu to adjust the scale or rotate your custom pattern.
