PrintingPress Pro Extreme lets you add borders to any stationery, image, text box or monogram. You can use any of the built-in border images, a border image you download from the internet, or even create a custom border. To add a border to your stationery, choose Stationery Border, Add Border in the Design menu.
In the example below, we used a graphical border image from the July 2009 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly.
We also used the Sample Color tool to match the text color to the red in the border.

PrintingPress Pro Extreme gives you powerful tools to create custom borders. It allows you to specify a fill type for the custom border, choosing between Solid (which allows you to choose a color or pattern), Shape (which allows you to repeat a shape around the border) and Image (which allows you to repeat an image around the border). The example below from the July 2009 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly shows a custom border with a 1.25 inch custom pattern fill and a 2 point orange inner pen. Then we added a crab image from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings and colorized it to match the inner pen color.

We added 25 new line types for use with custom borders, including Loops, Wave, Ric Rac, Double Line, Circle, Dash, Greek Key and more. We also added an alternate color feature to allow you to specify a secondary color for certain line types.

To add a border to a text box, monogram, image or shape, click on the item and then click on one of the border options on the Border palette in the Design palette group.
The custom border tool is very powerful and lets you create intricate designs from within PrintingPress Pro Extreme. In the example below, we added a custom border to a photograph. We added a 26 point white outline with the Line Type set to Greek Key. We added an alternate color to the outline and set the alternate color to black so that the Greek Key design is white on black. Then we added a 0.125 inch black fill with the Fill Type set to Shape, and added white squares spaced out by 8 points. Finally, we added a 2 point pink inner pen.
