 For
a sweet year
During
Rosh Hashanah, the celebration of the Jewish New Year, it’s customary
to eat apples dipped in honey to ensure a sweet year. We’ve created
a selection of Rosh Hashanah cards for you to send to your friends and
family. A shiny red
apple and the Hebrew font Malkah are both used in many of our designs,
and are available on Fonts
& Graphics 2, now at the low price of $19.99. Use the apple
together with the Hebrew words “L’shanah Tova” on a
simple folded card. Sized at 5.5 x 8.5, they fold to 4.25 x 5.5 and fit
in a standard A2 envelope. Or use a flat card and use the apple in place
of the “o” in Shalom on a 4.5 x 6.25 card. Pair both with
a striking red envelope available in our new bulk
stationery line. Platinum
users can vary the apple design by making it the background image on the
front of the card, or use the Hebrew greetings in floating text boxes
for more creative designs. On |

a flat, 4.5 x 6.25 card, each Hebrew word is angled alongside a shofar,
another Rosh Hashanah symbol. Match these cards with red or blue envelopes,
available through our bulk
stationery line. On a 4.25 x 5.5 card, the Hebrew greeting is designed
in a text box as a background in light blue, and the English greeting
is written over it in a darker blue. Pair with our blue envelopes, now
available in large quantities. Like these

Gracias,
danke,
merci, gratzi…
In
any language, sending a thank you note for a gift is pretty much a must.
After a big birthday or special event like a wedding or anniversary, use
PrintingPress to make this task easier. Using the same mailing list as
the party invitation, create a thank you note and envelope project. Not
only will your notes coordinate, you won’t have to handwrite your
envelopes. Of course, you still must handwrite your actual thanks. Using
a folded 5.5 x 8.5 card, change the margins to .25 inch and use Sky Pie
to write “thanks…” in 88 point size. Print on our flamingo
set of pink folded paper paired with flirty pink envelopes. Platinum users
can use the same size card and create a border of text boxes that read
“thank you” interspersed with the wrapped candy image from
Fonts & Graphics 2.
Under the center candy reads “You’re so sweet.” Order
our plain white folded cards with pink envelopes, available through our
bulk stationery
line. |

 Do
yourself a favor
You always want to make every aspect of your child’s birthday party
perfect, but details always seem to slip through the cracks. Goody bags
for younger kids can be difficult to fill, especially when you’re
trying to stick to a theme. Now you can make adorable magnets using PrintingPress
and sheets of inkjet-compatible magnet paper. Add some candy and a little
toy and you’re done! For Standard
users, trim the magnet paper in half to 5.5 x 8.5. Create a 2.75 x 4.25
card and choose “Four” in the “Cards per page”
section. We’ve used an image of a banana split, but you can also
use a character or other image in keeping with your party theme. Feed
the half sheet into your printer, print and trim into quarters. Platinum
users can personalize each magnet by using the place card feature. Create
a 3 x 4 flat place card and add an image and any additional text in a
floating text box. Our example uses each guest’s name and then “had
a great time at Sabrina’s birthday party.” Cut the magnet
paper to 3 x 4 and feed each one into your printer.

Hey
Diddle Diddle
Who
to invite to a baby shower? Jack Horner, Little Miss Muffet and Humpty
Dumpty, of course! A Mother Goose baby shower is always a sweet theme
with endless opportunities for decoration, favors and gifts. We’ve
taken care of the invitation – and even a great gift for the guest
of honor.
Using a
Mother Goose image – here we have the dish running away with the
spoon – create a 4.5 x 6.25 card. Using the Beckles font in blue
text, craft a rhyme of your own.
Formal etiquette suggests registry information is never to be printed, but should only be spread by word of mouth. For a time-saving compromise, create a separate card with the store information.
For a fantastic gift to the expecting guest of honor, create coordinating thank you notes using the same nursery rhyme image on 8.5 x 5.5 folded note. Pre-print the guest list addresses on the envelopes and she’ll be indebted to you forever.
Wrap with a ribbon and tuck in a few books of stamps for the perfect gift.

How
do I print on a circular card?
As
far as PrintingPress and your printer are concerned, a circular card
is the same as a square card. For a 5.5” diameter circular card,
you can set up the card in PrintingPress as a 5.5” x 5.5"
square card and set the margins to 1" all around to help keep your
text and images within the bounds of the physical card.
Some
printers have difficulty feeding circular cards, so we suggest buying
a few and doing some test prints before you commit to using them for
a big project.
Another
way people use circular cards is to print on a color-coordinated square
flat card, say 4 x 4" in size for our example, print on the square
card, and then use adhesive or double-stick tape to attach the square
card to the circular card.
