 Everyone’s
Favor-ite
Looking for something other than candy or junky toys for
your child’s birthday party goodie bags? Here’s an idea that
will make everyone happy and keep the kids busy. Create personalized stationery
with a black and white outline drawing that the kids can color. Print
out 10 cards and envelopes and wrap in a baggie with a small box of crayons.
Kids will love coloring the pictures, parents will love a sugar-free way
to send thank you notes. For PrintingPress
2.0 users, type each guest’s name below your image. We used the
new Brina font from Fonts
and Graphics 3. Inspired by Mountaincow’s youngest designer,
Brina is an authentic rendition of a child’s handwriting. To print
a return address for each guests’ stationery, create a reply envelope
without a return address. Make the address small and move it to the top
center of the envelope as if you’re looking at the back of the envelope.
Don’t forget to feed the printer so the address is on the back flap
of the envelope! We used Deep
Red envelopes to go with our white A2 folded note cards. Platinum
users can add the image to an inner envelope so they don’t have
to type each child’s name. You can even add a tiny version of the
image used on the stationery to the envelopes above the return address.
Our cow is on a white A2 folded note card paired with Clover
envelopes.

Around the world in 80 dishes
Turn an average
potluck party into an international feast, fiesta, fete—or all of
the above! Invite your friends over for an “Around the world”
party and create a deliciously diverse buffet table. The invitation
clearly explains the theme of the party, aided by new travel graphics
from the Fonts and Graphics
3 Collection. The new fonts include European accented characters so
serve up the béchamel and the brûlé! To help you divvy
up the countries (and avoid getting 6 pots of fondue), include a place
card with each invitation, printed with the guests’ name and the
country from where they are assigned to make a native dish. We used more
new graphics to carry out the international theme and assign the countries.
All the text is written in Noodles, a new font from Fonts
and Graphics 3. The invitation is printed on white A6 cards and paired
with Dusty
Blue envelopes.

 Oh
what a night!
Our
new Fonts & Graphics
for Weddings Collection can get the bachelorette party started right!
Packed with hundreds of images of bridesmaids, brides and grooms, you’ll
find a design that suits your celebration. Whether it’s a last hurrah,
a night in with the ‘maids watching “My Best Friend’s
Wedding” or a bacchanal with the boys, we have fun ideas for a perfect
invitation. PrintingPress
users can import the bridesmaids that look most like the wedding party
and line them up at the top of the invitation. The two fonts used for
the text are both from the new Fonts
& Graphics for Weddings Collection. The elegant script font is
the new Alyssa Black Tie and the block type is Benjamin Caps. Using two
fonts on an invitation can be striking when the styles of the fonts are
so different, they complement each other. We used white A6 cards and Dusty
Blue envelopes to coordinate with the blue bridesmaid dresses, but
Mountaincow’s Classic Stationery has a wide assortment of envelopes
to match your wedding colors. Platinum
users can take advantage of one of the 117 new background images offered
in the new Fonts & Graphics
3 collection. Pink and brown circles offer a trendy backdrop to feature
another new font, Meegles. This handwriting font is both casual and chic.
We used flat white A6 cards with Chocolate
envelopes to match the text color.

Hats
off to the grad
Graduation
is an exciting time of endings and beginnings, hard work and celebrations.
Mark this milestone by inviting friends and family to congratulate your
grad.
We used
two new fonts for the standard PrintingPress invitation. Benjamin Caps
Shadow and Alyssa Black Tie are available on Fonts
& Graphics for Weddings – though they prove you don’t
have to use them only for wedding stationery! We used the block type
for all the text except the grad’s name which was written in script
to stand apart. The purple text matches the simple mortarboard hat,
and the invites are paired with Violet
envelopes.
The Platinum
design uses one of the 115 borders from the Fonts
and Graphics 3 collection. This geometric design of orange and brown
boxes offers a masculine and mod style to the invitation. The new font,
Ryan Drop Cap, can also be found on Fonts & Graphics 3. Deep orange
envelopes match the invitation border.

Comment
àccêntez vous?
Our
new fonts in Fonts &
Graphics 3 Collection and Fonts
& Graphics for Weddings all include the standard European accent
characters. But how can you use them if they’re not on your keyboard?
Follow our instructions.
To
add an accented é or other special character, you need to use
a program included in Windows® called Character Map. To run Character
Map, click the Windows Start menu and choose Programs,
Accessories, System Tools, Character Map. To see what characters
are available in the font you are using for your invitation, select
the font name in the drop down menu at the top of the window. You will
see standard characters displayed at the top of the grid, and accented
and other non-standard characters at the bottom. You can scroll down
to see all the characters available in that font. To see an enlarged
version of any letter, just click on it.
Once
you’ve found the accented character that you need, click on it
to select it. You can then either double-click the character or click
the Select button to copy the character to the Characters
to copy field at the bottom of the window. You can double-click
as many characters as you need and they will all appear in the field.
Once you have your characters ready, click the Copy button
and then go into PrintingPress and choose Paste from the Edit
menu. ¡Voilà!
