MONTHLY NEWSLETTER (BONUS WEDDING ISSUE - MARCH 2007)

As the weather begins to warm and buds begin to
bloom, we find ourselves heading into peak wedding season once again. At Mountaincow, we’ve been spending the cold winter months creating new elegant designs to
help you along every step towards saying “I do.” We started with glamorous new invitations for
the big event. For the eve of the wedding, we have rehearsal dinner invitations. When you return from your
honeymoon, print some personalized stationery to help you debut your new married state. And when you’re
ready to get down to business and write your thank you notes, our snazzy designs will inspire you to keep your
pen flowing smoothly.
Once again, we have fabulous new advice from wedding expert, Sharon Naylor. Sharon has written dozens of wedding
planning books, including her newest, Renewing Your Wedding Vows. Learn more about Sharon and review
her new destination wedding tips and wedding & reception trends articles in our Wedding
Expert Sharon Naylor section.

The
honor of your presence...
Let your personal style flow
when choosing your wedding invitations. You can incorporate your wedding theme, matching your color palette
and any images that help tie in the theme. We’ve
even included menu and place cards for your wedding reception so that you can continue your coordinated
design throughout your big day.
The Chinese symbol for double happiness tops our
PrintingPress design. Since red is the color used in weddings in China and white is considered bad luck,
we’ve used our Cranberry stationery to bring all the good
luck your way. We used the Alyssa Afternoon font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings to add the wedding
information to the A7 card and lined the Deep Red A7 envelope with a floral
tile (red & gold) envelope
liner. We used Cranberry 4-bar stationery to create the matching flat response card and lined the response
envelope in floral tile (red & gold) as well. The coordinating menu and place card are also printed on
our Cranberry stationery.
For a sophisticated, elegant look, try our PrintingPress
Platinum design featuring Envelopments® metallic
stationery. The base of the invitation is a 5x7
Metallic Bronze Signature Portrait Pocket Fold. We used a double-stick
tape gun to mount a 5x7
Metallic Zircon card stock to the Pocket Fold to frame the invitation. The invitation
card features a background image with plumes in a soft blue to coordinate with the Zircon elements. We also
added a blue flourish beneath the bride and groom’s names, which are written in brown using the Noodles
font from Fonts & Graphics 3. The rest of the invitation
text uses the Benjamin Caps font from Fonts & Graphics
for Weddings. We printed the invitation on 4.5x6.5
Metallic Ecru Micah card stock and mounted it onto the Zircon
panel. We printed the directions card on custom
cut 5 x 6.75 inch Metallic Ecru Micah card stock and tucked
it into the Pocket Fold. We addressed the 3.5x5
Metallic Zircon response envelope and tucked it into the Pocket
Fold as well. The 3.5x5 Metallic
Ecru Micah response card features the same blue plume as the invitation and
uses the same combination of fonts as the invitation. For the finishing touch, we created a seal using custom
cut card 2.5 x 2.5 inch Metallic Zircon card stock. We printed the seal using PrintingPress Platinum’s
4-up feature to print 4 seals per page on custom
cut 4 x 4 inch Metallic Ecru Micah card stock and then trimmed
the seals to 2 x 2 inches using a rotary trimmer. We mounted the panels of the seal together and adhered them
to the invitation using a double-stick
tape gun.
Slip the completed invitation into an addressed 5x7
Metallic Zircon envelope and it’s ready to send. For the reception, we have a matching
menu using 4x9
Metallic Ecru Micah card stock, and a matching place card using a 1x4
Metallic Ecru Micah Folded Card. Please note that metallic
stationery can not be printed on an ink jet printer. Metallic stationery is only compatible with laser printers.
For a modern design, try our PrintingPress
Extreme 4.0 invitation. We used the shape feature to create bold stripes down the side of a horizontal Café au
Lait A7 card. We added several shapes in colors to
coordinate with our stripes (avocado & brown) envelope
liners. We aligned the text to the right margin
of the card and used the Arial font in lowercase for a clean look. We used our printer’s borderless feature
to print all the way to the edge of the A7 Ivory card.
For more information on borderless printing, review the Tech
Tip from
the November 2004 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly. We adjusted the address text box on the invitation envelope
so that the names and addresses in your Mailing List will be printed in lowercase as well without having to
modify your Address Book. We used the same design for the response card using a Café au
Lait 4-bar flat
card and envelope, also lined in stripes (avocado & brown).
The matching menu and place
card for the reception
also use the stripes design and lowercase text and were also printed using our printer’s borderless printing
feature. We tricked our printer by using standard photo sizes to print our stationery. We used 3.5x5 for the
3.5 x 4 inch place card and 4x6 for the 4 x 7.5 inch menu.

‘Twas
the night before the wedding
Traditionally,
the groom’s family hosts
a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. Whether or not you take the time to run through the ceremony
with the officiant, a rehearsal dinner is a nice way to welcome guests who have traveled a long way to
share your special day. Sending out a formal invitation allows your guests to have a tangible reminder
of when and where they need to be for the rehearsal.
The bride- and groom-to-be’s initials top our PrintingPress invitation, printed on White
/ Chocolate A7 Two Tone stationery. We alternated the initials with colorful circles in green and brown at the top of
the White 4-bar card. We added the event information in crisp black text using the Benjamin Caps font from
Fonts & Graphics for Weddings. The couple’s names are written in the Alyssa Afternoon font also
from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings. We mounted the White 4-bar card to the Chocolate A7 card using a
double-stick tape gun. We lined the addressed Chocolate A7 envelope with a circles
(green & brown) envelope
liner.
For a dramatic evening, use our PrintingPress
Platinum design, which uses our Grayscale A7 Two Tone stationery. We added a black & white tree image to the top of the White 4-bar flat card and used a floating text
box to add the bride & groom’s initials on either side of the tree trunk. We added the event
information in black using the Benjamin font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings and the Noodles font
from Fonts & Graphics 3. We mounted the White 4-bar card to the Black A7 card using a double-stick
tape gun. The addressed Pewter A7 envelope includes the same tree above the return address.
If you prefer a more understated look, our PrintingPress
Extreme 4.0 design is perfect for you. We added a custom circle monogram to the top of a Pebble A7 flat card.
We used the alternate font feature to make the middle initial disappear by setting the text color to white.
We added a custom dotted line border in the shape of a circle and spaced out the dots for an airy look. We
then created a small black circle shape and placed it between the bride & groom’s initials. We added the party information in black using the Benjamin
and Alyssa Afternoon fonts from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings. We lined the Avocado A7 envelope in Pewter to complete the look.

Mr.
and Mrs. Who?
If you decide to change your name when you marry, it can take some time to become accustomed to your new
moniker. When you return from your honeymoon, why not drop a few notes to close friends and family so that
they can see your new name in print? Our newlywed stationery helps remind you of your new name by printing
both of your names on flat and folded cards.
Our simple and elegant PrintingPress design
offers a gender-neutral option you both will love. We used the Benjamin Caps font from Fonts & Graphics
for Weddings to add the names to the top of a Blueberry Licorice A7 flat card. We added a simple pair of
lines (one solid and one dotted) beneath the names for an elegant look. Pair with a Slate A7 envelope lined
in Blue. We created a matching design using Blueberry
Licorice A2 Folded stationery, also lined in Blue.
Get in touch with your preppy roots with our
Platinum design featuring Granny Smith stationery.
We added a bold black, white and avocado border to a
White A7 flat card. We added the names in Benjamin
Caps Drop from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings at
the top of the card. We used our printer’s
borderless feature to print all the way to the edge of the A7 White card. For more information on borderless
printing, review the Tech Tip from
the November 2004 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly. Send in an addressed Avocado A7 envelope. We created
a matching folded note using Granny Smith 4-bar envelopes and scored cards.
Our PrintingPress
Extreme 4.0 design features
our opulent flourish design. We added a shape filled with the flourish pattern to the bottom of a horizontal
Blueberry Truffle A7 flat card. We added a
custom border to the shape to create a double line at the top of the shape. We added the names at the
top of the card in brown using the Alyssa Afternoon font from Fonts & Graphics
for Weddings. We lined the Chocolate A7 envelope
with a flourish (blue & brown) envelope liner.
We used our printer’s
borderless feature to print all the way to the edge of the Blue A7 card. For more information on borderless
printing, review the Tech
Tip from the November 2004 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly. The matching folded note uses Blueberry
Truffle 4-bar envelopes and scored cards as well as flourish (blue & brown) 4-bar liners.

Giving
thanks
It is very important
to thank every wedding gift with a handwritten personal note. You can prep some of your thank you notes before
the wedding as the gifts arrive, and arrange to have a friend or family member mail them after the big day. Our
beautiful thank you notes will make it easy to say “Thank you” with
style. You can also easily modify any of these designs to make coordinating personalized stationery. Just choose Duplicate
Stationery in the Stationery menu to create a copy of the card, and then replace the words “Thank
you” with your names.
A bold black & white cherry blossom tops our PrintingPress design, printed on our Schoolgirl stationery.
We added the flowers to the Pewter A2 folded note card and wrote the words “Thank You” in black
using the Alyssa Afternoon font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings. Pen your thanks inside the note and
send it in the addressed Pink Lemonade A2 envelope.
Go a little bit girly with our Platinum
note using Granny Smith stationery. We added a lacy
pink border to the front of a White 4-bar folded
note card and used a floating text box to add the words “Thank You” in
the Alyssa font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings. We used our printer’s
borderless feature to print all the way to the edge of the White A7 card.
For more information on borderless printing, review the Tech
Tip from the November 2004 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly. We lined the Avocado 4-bar envelope with a
lace (pink) envelope liner.
Our PrintingPress
Extreme 4.0 design
features simple elegance with a twist. We used Granny Smith stationery and created a custom pattern to add
stripes to the background of the White 4-bar folded note card. We set the custom pattern shape to rectangle
and set the height and width of the rectangle to 100. We then adjusted the horizontal spacing to 100 and
the vertical spacing to 0 to connect the squares and create stripes. We added a graceful white flourish to
the bottom of the card and used a floating text box to add the words “Thank
You” in the Alyssa font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings above the flourish. Send in an addressed
Avocado 4-bar envelope.
