The hunt
is on
The Easter Bunny is ready
to begin his rounds, and you want to make sure your little ones enjoy the fun as much as possible. Why not
host an Easter Egg Hunt in your backyard or living room? Our adorable designs will bring scores of basket-toting
cuties to your door. If you’re not providing baskets for the kids, be sure to let them know to bring
their own! To make sure even the kids who can’t find any eggs walk away with some treats, prepare goody
bags labeled with our coordinating tags.

Our PrintingPress design
features one lone chick chasing a herd of pastel bunnies hopping across a flat Scalloped
White A6 card. The party details are added
in the same green as one of the bunnies using the Charlotte font from Fonts & Graphics
3. Paired with our new Pink
Lemonade envelopes, this invitation is as sweet
as the jelly beans in your Easter basket. We made our goody bag tag using a Scalloped
White 4-bar card with
the same troupe of creatures across the top. Type in each child’s name and print, and then punch a hole
and tie it to the bag.
If you’re feeling crafty, then our Platinum
design is for you. We added a background image of a purple and pink Easter egg to a White A7
card. We used scissors to trim around the edge of the card after printing to make the invitation look just
like a giant Easter egg. We added the party details in white using the Meegles font from Fonts & Graphics
3. Tuck the egg into a Blush A6 envelope and
send. If you’re
not feeling snippy, you can print the A6 version of the invitation directly on an A6 card and skip the scissors.
We created a matching goody bag tag using the same background image on a flat place card and printed each child’s
name. We used White 4-bar cards and trimmed around
the edge of the egg. Punch a hole and it’s ready for the
ribbon.
Our perfectly preppy PrintingPress
Extreme 4.0 design features our new Baby Girl stationery.
We created a custom pattern for the background of the card using white dots on a field of pink. We filled
a shape object with another custom pattern to create a striped rectangle with a black Line (top) border
at the bottom of the card. A black bunny silhouette tops the invitation which is printed on a White 4-bar
card using our printer’s
borderless feature. We turned off our printer’s Photo Enhance print option to make
the pink just the right shade. For more information on borderless printing, review the Tech
Tip from the November 2004 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly. We adjusted the address on the Pink
Lemonade envelope to print in lowercase to coordinate with the lowercase Times New Roman text
on the invitation. For the goody bags, we created a sheet of place cards that we printed on stickers. We used
2 x 4 inch stickers purchased at an office supply store and used the borderless printing feature again to make
sure the design covers the entire sticker. We repeated the background pattern and striped shape from the invitation
and printed the guests’ names in lowercase Times New Roman. For more information on creating multi-up
place cards and labels, see this month’s Extreme Tip.

It's
a jungle out there
Spring is the perfect time to gather friends around the dinner table to celebrate a birthday, promotion,
engagement, or even just the weekend. Our PrintingPress Extreme
4.0 design featuring our new Granny Smith
stationery and animal print (zebra) envelope liners will set the tone for a wild night of fun.
We added a thick custom border to the White A7
card using our zebra pattern to coordinate with Mountaincow’s
new animal print (zebra) envelope liners. To coordinate
with the Avocado envelope, we added a green inner
pen to the custom border. We then set the vertical alignment of the main text area to Align Middle and
added the details in black using the Benjamin Caps font from Fonts & Graphics
for Weddings. For an airy
look, we increased the character spacing of all the text using the Increase Horizontal Spacing button
in the Text toolbar. Since the zebra border goes all the way to the edge of the card, we used our
printer’s borderless feature. For more information on borderless printing, review the Tech
Tip from the November 2004 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly. Add an animal print (zebra) liner to the
Avocado A7 envelope to complete the look. We created
place cards using the same wild border, Benjamin Caps text and expanded character spacing. We also used borderless
printing for the place card, tricking the printer by using the 3.5 x 5 inch photo size for our 3.5 x 4 inch
place cards. We also checked the Feed stationery
bottom first option in the Print window to make sure that they print correctly on the smaller size.

Put a spring in your
step
Our new personalized stationery designs are bound to send along some springtime cheer any time you need
to dash off a quick note. All our designs feature new additions to our assortment of envelope liners.
Our PrintingPress design features our new Baby
Girl stationery and our new lace (pink) envelope
liners. We added an elegant pink design that matches the
lace pattern to the top of a Scalloped White A7
flat card and added the name in the same pink using the Alyssa Afternoon font from Fonts & Graphics
for Weddings. Slip the note into our new A7 Pink
Lemonade envelope. We repeated the design on a Scalloped White A2 folded note card, paired with an A2 Pink
Lemonade envelope lined in lace
(pink).
For a sophisticated look, try our Platinum design.
We added a border that coordinates with the floral
tile (twilight & avocado) envelope liner to a White A7
flat card. We used a floating text box to add the name in the same color as the
border's inner pen. We expanded the horizontal spacing in the text box for a clean look. Since the border
goes all the way to the edge of the card, we used our printer’s borderless feature. For more
information on borderless printing, review the Tech
Tip from the November 2004 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly. Line the Twilight A7
envelope with a floral
tile (twilight & avocado) liner and you’re set. We created a matching folded note card that
uses a White 4-bar folded note card, Twilight envelope
and floral
tile (twilight & avocado) liner. The 4-bar
folded note card was also printed using our printer’s borderless feature.
You’ll go wild for our PrintingPress
Extreme 4.0 design. We added a thick custom border using our
new animal print (leopard) pattern to a White A7 flat card. To coordinate with the Blush envelope, we added
a pink inner pen to the border and added the name in the same pink using the Noodles font from Fonts & Graphics
3. Since the leopard border goes all the way to the edge of the card, we used our printer’s borderless
feature. For more information on borderless printing, review the Tech
Tip from the November 2004 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly. Slip the card into an A7 Blush envelope
lined in animal print (leopard) and you’re ready to send a note that’s sure to get noticed. Our
coordinating folded note card uses a White 4-bar folded note card, Blush envelope and animal
print (leopard) liner. The 4-bar folded note card was also printed using our printer’s borderless feature.

A
very royal birthday
Your little
ones deserve the best, so give them a birthday celebration fit for royalty. Our fairy tale invitations will set
the stage for a magical celebration. And since all princes and princesses are graciously polite, we’ve
got matching thank you notes ready for after the festivities.
Our PrintingPress design features
our new Baby Girl stationery. A magical unicorn
tops a Scalloped
White A6 card with the invitation details written
in pink using the Charlotte font from Fonts & Graphics
3. Slip the invitation
into the addressed Pink Lemonade envelope and
the royal revelers will soon be at your door. The matching thank you note features the same unicorn printed
on a Scalloped White A2 folded note card. Help
your birthday girl pen her thanks, then slip the note into a Pink
Lemonade A2 envelope.
A pink dream castle sets the theme
for our Platinum design. We printed it on a Scalloped White A6 flat card and added the party details in pink
using the Alyssa font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings. Paired with
a Blush A6 envelope, it’s bound to meet her royal approval. We added the same castle to the thank you
note, printed on a Scalloped White A2 folded note card. Once your princess has finished adding her personal
touch to the thank you note, send it in a Blush A2 envelope.
For the swashbuckling youngsters
in your life, our PrintingPress Extreme 4.0 pirate ship design
is sure to please. We added a custom background to the invitation with the margins set to zero to create
a field of blue across the entire card. We added a pirate ship image at the right of the card with the party
details printed in white using the Ryan font aligned to the left margin. We used a floating text box to add
the birthday boy’s
name to the sail beneath the jolly roger. We set the text box’s Text Shape to Random
Jitter for a spookier look. We used a second floating text box with a custom dotted line border to add
the birthday boy’s age to the top sail. We used our printer’s borderless feature to print the invitation
on a White A7 flat card. For more information on borderless
printing, review the Tech
Tip from the November 2004 issue of the Mountaincow Monthly. We added a jolly roger to the back flap of
the Dusty Blue A7 envelope and set the return address
text box’s Text Shape to Circle to
surround the skull and crossbones. Pirates who don’t say thank you have to walk the plank, so use our
matching thank you note printed on a White 4-bar folded
note card. Slip the note into the addressed Dusty
Blue 4-bar envelope and send.

Stick it to ‘em
PrintingPress Extreme
4.0 allows you to create
any size stickers, using any combination of rows and columns that you like. You can use plain white stickers
that you find in any office supply store, or even designed stickers from a stationery store. PrintingPress
Extreme allows you to customize the sheet size as well, so as long as you can feed the sheet through your
printer, you’re set.
You can use the Label or Address Label stationery type to create a sticker in PrintingPress
Extreme. The Label stationery type will print an entire sheet of the same sticker, while the Address
Label stationery type will print a sheet of addressed stickers using the names in the project’s
Mailing List.
To set up your sticker sheet, first enter the height and width of an individual sticker in the Individual
label size section. Next enter the height and width of the entire sheet in the Full sheet size section.
Now count the number of rows and columns of stickers and enter them in the Cols and Rows fields
in the Number of labels section. Finally, measure the margin from the top edge of the sheet to the
top edge of the first sticker and enter it into the Top field in the Margins (from edge to first
label) section. Repeat for the left edge and you’re set. Note that asymmetrical sheets are
not supported.

PrintingPress Extreme also allows you to create
multiple place cards per page. Specify the height and width of a single place card in the Unfolded Place
Card Size section on the Layout page of the stationery wizard. To print more than
one place card per page, choose Multiple (P) or Multiple (L) in the Cards Per Page section.
Choose Multiple (P) if your place cards are right-side up on an 8.5 x 11 inch sheet when you hold
the sheet so it is taller than it is wide. Choose Multiple
(L) if your place cards are rotated 90 degrees on an 8.5 x 11 inch sheet when you hold the sheet so it
is taller than it is wide.

Click the Next button and specify the
full sheet details. Enter the height and width of the full sheet (which does not have to be 8.5 x 11 inches)
in the Full sheet size section. Enter the number of rows and
columns in the Number of place cards section. For multi-up place cards, you can specify different
measurements for the top, left, right and bottom margins of the sheet.
