How
do I use the downloadable projects from the newsletter?
See
a newsletter project you love and want to make it your own? Each project
featured is available for you to download to your computer so you can
import it into PrintingPress and customize it with your own information.
First,
click on the appropriate link for your version of PrintingPress. Platinum
users can easily import both projects, but standard PrintingPress users
won’t get the full project if they import a Platinum project.
A window will appear offering to open or save the file for you. Choose
“Save” and save it to your My Documents folder.
Open
PrintingPress and choose Import Project from the File menu. In the Open
window, select the project from where you saved it in your My Documents
folder. Once the project has been imported, you can use it as a template
and make the appropriate changes to the text and images to make it your
own.
Please
keep in mind, if the project uses a font from Fonts
and Graphics 2 and you do not have Fonts and Graphics 2 installed
on your computer, the text will use a default font such as Arial. You
will probably have to choose another font to achieve the desired design.
The
new graphics you see in the newsletter projects are teasers of what
will be included in our upcoming collections of Fonts & Graphics.
You can use these graphics in other projects by downloading the project,
selecting the graphic and choosing Copy in the Edit
menu. Then open a new project and choose Paste to insert the
graphic into a new project. Stay tuned to Mountaincow Monthly to find
out when new Fonts & Graphics collections become available.
