Easter Egg Hunt (PrintingPress)

For an invitation that’s as sweet as the jelly beans in your Easter basket, try our PrintingPress design. We added a pink patterned bunny silhouette to the top of a White 3.75 x 5 inch custom cut card. We added the invitation text in lavender using the Girls are Weird font from the Easy Invitations Bonus Content CD. We added the RSVP in the bottom left corner of the invitation and then added a patterned yellow chick in the bottom right corner. Next, we used a double-stick tape gun to adhere the invitation to a Scalloped Lavender A2 card. Paired with Pink Lemonade A2 envelopes lined in Yellow, it’s the perfect Easter invitation. To up the adorable factor, we added a coordinating Custom Image StationeryStamps design with the patterned bunny in the Small StationeryStamps size. Just order your Custom Image StationeryStamps and then email us the project with your personalization.

Our PrintingPress Platinum design looks good enough to eat! We added a graphical border with a chocolate bunny atop a field of pink & white polka dots to a White A7 card. We added the invitation text in the same brown as the bunny using the Benjamin Caps font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings. Since the dotted border runs all the way to the edge of the card, we used our printer’s borderless printing feature. We paired the invitation with Chocolate envelopes lined in Pink Lemonade and added chocolate bunny (pink) StationeryStamps.

Easter Egg Hunt (Platinum)
Easter Egg Hunt (Extreme)

For an egg-stravagant invitation, check out our PrintingPress Extreme 5.0 design. We used shape objects with the Shape set to Oval to create a pile of eggs at the bottom of a White A7 card. We created custom patterns to fill each of the eggs with polka dots, gingham and stripes using a pastel color palette. We filled the background of the card in lavender and used a floating text box to add the invitation text in blue using the Girls are Weird font from the Easy Invitations Bonus Content CD. We disabled the Make white transparent setting for the text box to make the background opaque white. Next, we added a custom border to the text box with the border’s Shape set to Oval. We added a 4 point lavender inner pen and then added a white dotted outline and set the spacing to 8 to spread out the dots. Since the design goes all the way to the edge of the card, we used our printer’s borderless printing feature. We used Pink Lemonade envelopes lined in Yellow to complete our pastel color scheme. We added coordinating Custom Image StationeryStamps to start the party outside the envelope.

Put a spring in your step
Even though we’re still in the throes of winter, all the clothing stores have spring previews out to tempt us with thoughts of warm weather and bright colors. Updating your stationery wardrobe is quick, easy and affordable with our fabulous new designs. All of the designs include flat and folded cards, and offer coordinating StationeryStamps designs as well.

If you’re longing for springtime to start working in your garden, then our PrintingPress design is just right for you. We added the name using the Benjamin Caps font from Fonts & Graphics for Weddings to the upper left corner of the Ecru A7 card. We added a space character between the letters to give the name an airy look. Then we added a collection of gardening tools to the bottom right corner of the card. We repeated the design on the front of the Ecru A2 folded note card and lined the Avocado envelopes in Pewter. Choose from one of the garden tools Personalized StationeryStamps designs.

Spring Stationery (PrintingPress)

Spring Stationery (Platinum)

Our PrintingPress Platinum design is fun, modern and preppy. We started by adding a blue and gray diamond border image to a White A7 card. Next, we added a blue and gray circle as a floating image and placed it near the top of the card. Then we used floating text boxes to add the first and last name using the Times New Roman font on top of the circle. We used all lowercase letters in different colors and sizes for the first and last name. Since the border goes to the edge of the card, we used our printer’s borderless printing feature. We repeated the same design on the front of the White 4-bar folded note card and lined the Pewter envelopes in Sky. We created coordinating Custom Image StationeryStamps with the name in the circle.

If you’re craving the beach as much as we are, check out our PrintingPress Extreme 5.0 design We started by adding a custom background filled with a custom pattern of blue and white stripes to a White A7 card. We added the name in black using the Times New Roman font with the Text Case set to Small Caps. We adjusted the card’s margins so that the name falls on one of the blue stripes. Next, we added an image of oversize sunglasses to the bottom right corner of the card. For tips on making the white areas of an image transparent, see this month’s Extreme Tip. We repeated the same design on the front of the White 4-bar folded note card and used our printer’s borderless printing feature to print both cards. We lined the White envelopes in Sky and stripes & sunglasses (sky) Personalized StationeryStamps.

Spring Stationery (Extreme)

Extreme Tip

Now you see it...
We’re heading back to the basics this month in our Extreme Tip since we’ve gotten many questions on this issue. When you add an image to your stationery, if you have a design behind the image you will see a white rectangle surrounding your image. In the case of this month’s Extreme Spring Stationery, the white rectangle surrounding the sunglasses blocked out the striped background of the design.

To remove the white rectangle, click on the image to select it and then click on the Make White Transparent button on the Adjust palette in the Design palette group. All of the white in the image will disappear, allowing the background and other design elements to show through the transparent areas of the image.

Experts Only EXPERTS ONLY
Please note that PrintingPress Extreme 5.0’s Make White Transparent feature will only affect true white that is RGB(255, 255, 255). If you have an image that uses off-white such as RGB(254, 254, 254), the white areas will not be made transparent. Images saved as the JPG file type, which is not ideal for graphics or clip art, can appear to be all white, but actually include off-white artifacts which make the Make White Transparent feature unable to “erase” all the white.
