 Moms
the word
Does
your mom still keep her pens in that ceramic mug you made in fourth grade
art class? Just think how happy she’ll be to receive a home made
gift she won’t need to pretend to like. Choose several combinations
of her favorite colors from Mountaincow’s extensive stationery collection.
Create and print a sampling of personalized stationery – combine
sets of flat and folded stationery in different colors so she’ll
have plenty of options the next time she writes a letter. For inspiration,
we created several projects for you to use depending on your mother’s
style. If Ma favors flowers, use the PrintingPress 2.0 project. The sweet
floral design frames Mom’s name written in Isabelle from our Fonts
and Graphics 2 Collection and coordinates with Blush
envelopes. If your
mom is super groovy, the Platinum project uses a mod pattern of dots within
dots. The folded card uses it as a background image, the flat card as
a border. Print these designs on white flat and folded cards and pair
with Clover envelopes. Once you
print them, pack them in clear bags and tie with a ribbon. And to give
her the creative inspiration to make her next pack of stationery herself,
throw in Mountaincow’s new book Easy
Invitations. The creative mom who loves to entertain will be
so pleased with such a useful gift. Really want to score points? Give
her a gift
certificate to our online store!

Love is in Bloom
Personalize
any image by adding a name or initial to it. Add text to a wine bottle
label, a baby’s name to a carriage or an initial to a bathrobe by
just adding a floating text box. For a bridal shower invitation, we decided
to celebrate the couple’s love in bloom and a spring day by adding
the bride’s initial to the center of a large flower on our Sour
Apple stationery. Don't have Platinum yet? Go ahead and upgrade
now. You can use
the flower on more than just the invitation. For the sit down brunch,
add it to the place cards. You can even use a ribbon to tie a note around
a pouch of flower seeds and tuck it in the napkin of each place setting. For more
stationery for the bride, check out our new Custom
Bridal Stationery. Choose the skin tone and hair color that looks
most like your bride or bridesmaids; even select the dress color she’s
picked for her attendants!

 A
night different from all others
The
Seder is both a meal and service to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover.
Seders often seat many guests around a long table with one person leading
the service so place cards play an important part for guests to know their
role in the meal. Since guests often bring a traditional dish, printing
a menu card will give your guests credit for what they brought or made. Maybe you
didn’t have time to arrange your Seder plate this year, but don’t
worry! The PrintingPress 2.0 menu uses an image of the Seder Plate, a
platter used to present all the symbols of the holiday. The Hebrew word
for Passover, Pesach, is written in Hebrew in the center. We used our
Hebrew font Malkah and for everything in English, we used Benjamin Strong,
both available in our Fonts
and Graphics 2 Collection. We used white cards to allow the colors
of the Seder plate to really stand out. The Platinum
menu has the word Pesach written in Hebrew at the top, and in a text box
running down the left margin, the quote “Why is this night different
than all other nights?” This question is a theme of the holiday
and addressed in the service. The coordinating place card has the Hebrew
word “Pesach” floating behind the guest’s name. We used
dark purple text on our Confetti paper, but you can use any color that
coordinates with your table setting. Both projects
can be made faster than it takes the matzo not to rise. Just download
the project and add your menu and guest list. Print, and pour yourself
a glass of Manishevitz.

That's
the ticket
Let
your kids have a ball at their next birthday party. Literally. Sports-themed
parties are always a blast and you’ll never hear those two dreaded
words: I’m bored.
Make sure
you’re clear in the invitation if there is any special equipment
or outfit you want your guests to wear or bring to the party. No one
in a party dress is going to want to play tag football and a kid geared
up to play soccer won’t be happy just eating cake off a soccer
ball plate.
Our PrintingPress
2.0 invitation sets the mood for some fun at the lanes with a bowling
image mid-strike! We used the handwritten Colin font available in our
Fonts and Graphics 2
Collection. The cards are printed on white cards and paired with Dusty
Blue envelopes. Make a goodie bag tag using the same image and mark
a ribbon hole at the top. Whatever you choose to give out as favors
can be tagged with coordinating label. Have the birthday boy or girl
hand write the guests names on the tags for a personal touch.
Our Platinum
project invites kids for some backyard football by issuing a game ticket.
Using the PrintingPress Platinum project as a template, add your party’s
details, print on white cards and mail in Clover
envelopes. Make a favor tag using the place card feature so each kid
knows which goodie is his or hers. Tape on a Nerf ball or staple to
a bag of candy and none will be left behind!
